Getting started with SkypeFind™
Recommend your favourite local businesses to the Skype community with SkypeFind. Check out the latest and greatest places your friends are talking about and share your favourite bars, restaurants or maybe even that quaint little bookshop you found.
Anyone can create or review a SkypeFind listing and if you don't agree with a review, simply add your own.
All listings are the personal recommendations of other Skype users. They represet how they feel about a business – good or bad – so they're not just adverts.
With SkypeFind when your friends add their favourite restaurants, bars or other great businesses you'll see exactly what they're raving and ranting about on the SkypeFind tab.
Add a listing to SkypeFind
Make sure you have the latest version of Skype
SkypeFind is available with the latest versions of Skype. If you are using an older version, upgrade for free.
Add a listing
There are a number of ways you can add a listing to SkypeFind.
Select the SkypeFind tab in Skype and click the Add to SkypeFind button to create a listing.
Alternatively, if you're on a call with the business you would like to add to SkypeFind, click the Add to SkypeFind button to start creating the listing.
Or, if the business is already in your contact list just right click on them and select Add to SkypeFind.
Complete the contact details
On the Add a Listing page, complete the contact details for the business giving as much information as you can. Add keywords to help others find your listing and a review of the business explaining why they're so great (or not so great as the case may be).
Submit the listing
Click the Add listing button and its available for everyone to see.
If a listing already appears for that particular business, you can add your own review. More opinions are always welcome. In addition, if you find any contact information that's incorrect or missing, go ahead and edit it. The phone number and country are not editable as we believe the telephone number is the unique identifier for each business in SkypeFind. This is the only fixed element for each listing. The responsibility to create accurate listings is in the hands of the community.
Searching SkypeFind
Make sure you have the latest version of Skype
SkypeFind is available with the latest versions of Skype. If you are using an older version, upgrade for free.
Open SkypeFind and select country
Click on the SkypeFind tab and select the country to search in.
Choose the business
Enter the type of business you are searching for, or select one of the popular keywords for your selected country.
Select a location
Enter a location, for example, London, SW1, San Francisco, CA. You may also leave this blank to search the entire country.
Start searching
Click Search to find businesses that match your keywords.
