Your Skype Name is really important, it’s what you’ll use to sign in to Skype. Also, it’s your unique name on the Skype network and what other people on Skype will use to find you.

You can make anything up to use as your Skype Name. However, as every one needs a unique name you may find that someone already has taken the one you’d really like – there are millions and millions of people registered with Skype, so it’s quite likely that the more obvious names have been taken.
Remember to jot down your Skype Name, you’ll need have it to sign in or to get a password reminder sent to you.

During registration you’ll be offered alternatives that are available if your preferred Skype Name is taken. If you don’t like the alternatives try adding numbers in place of letters.
